Zopa credit card

I have a large balance on my Zopa credit card. I’ve recently taken out a 0% balance transfer card for 20 months with Barclaycard.

Great I thought, until I tried to move the balance over to be told Zopa is a card they do not accept.

So then went plan B, pay Zopa with my capital one credit card then move that to Barclaycard. Nope Zopa wouldn’t accept payment from a credit card.

So now I’m wondering how do I move the Zopa balance onto a 0% card and get out of debit faster.

It has a  £1,194 balance.
Capital one has a zero balance.

Any thoughts or ideas greatly received

You will need a money transfer card/offer. Transfer the money to your bank account then pay off the Zopa credit card.

That’s what the Barclaycard is, I spoke to Barclaycard on the phone and they said they do not accept Zopa balance transfers

I think you are misunderstanding Jay1804's post.
There is a difference between a 'Balance Transfer' card and a 'Money Transfer' card.
The former permits you to pay off a credit card with another credit card - which Zopa don't seem to allow according to your post.
The latter permits you to transfer funds from your new credit card to your bank current account. Then make a payment from your current account to Zopa (as you would do with a normal payment).
Barclaycard do not seem to offer any 'Money Transfer' cards on their website: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/money-transfers/
See this MSE item for 'Money Transfer' cards: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/money-transfers/

That seems poor by Zopa.  I have one for the 6months interest free.  I tried to transfer a Natwest balance to them and the message kept saying, we do not accept balance transfers from Creation and Argos.  Eventually after complaining they said they don't accept Natwest/RBS cards either.  Now you have explained even if I had managed to do the transfer I would be stuck with Zopa @ 29.9% unless I found a money transfer card. P O O R by Zopa and will close my card with them asap.

There are multiple posts on here about Zopa not doing them, obviously it's too late for you or OP but it's not a bad business model for them to offer 6-9 months 0% then keep you there by blocking BT out. Sneaky though!

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

This Financial Ombudsman decision in a very similar situation was a victory for the consumer and against Zopa https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/decision/DRN-4357429.pdf

I suggest you make a complaint to Zopa and send it to the Ombudsman if Zopa rejects it.
