Best way to convert € to £
Pugliese
Just sold my property abroad and the sale proceeds in Euros will be coming in several tranches over the next 5 months and is being credited to my Starling Euro account.
What is the best way to convert to Sterling?
Have used Currency Fair in the past, but that was a few years ago and wondered if there were any more cost effective ways.
thanks

Can't you simply use your Starling accounts?

With the euro account on-screen in the Starling app > Payments > Transfer between accounts > Transfer ... Etc. Mid-market rate with 0.4% fee, you won't do much better elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I'll clearly have to do a comparison, as I thought by matching with a euro buyer on Currency Fair would get a better result.eDicky said:With the euro account on-screen in the Starling app > Payments > Transfer between accounts > Transfer ... I would normally use Wise for currency conversions, but definitely worth shopping around to get the best rate on a sum like that0

With those kind of payments would being flagged for fraud investigations be a factor in deciding who to go with?

Atlantic Money does look interesting. They say up to 10x cheaper than Wise. It's a pity they don't handle more than the 10 currencies they have at the moment.1
