Strikethrough on Outlook calendar on Galaxy mobile

I've posted this on the mobile forum but have had no response. I'm therefore posting it here and hope that it's OK to cross-post.
I have the calandar that comes as standard with Galaxy phones. The icon is blue and it has a lower case 'a' on it. I think it's Outlook calendar.
I'm trying to work out how to strike through an entry that has been cancelled rather than deleting it.
It's my private phone and nobody else has access to my calendar.
I know that strikethrough can be done as I had two items I wanted to delete yesterday. During an un-coordinated moment, I clicked something - I have no idea what - and the entry was struck through. I want to replicate this for another entry but can't.
Does anyone know how to do this?
