I also have a message on ClearScore today about a new account with JPMC. Was worried my details had been hacked. I also have a Chase account and a Chip account. Thanks everyone for putting my mind at rest.
But can you tell if this is Chase or Chip?

I am not sure why Chip would report as a bank account. Nor why they would use the label JPMC. It's a savings account surely and they arent reported to credit reference agencies.

I agree its odd if Chase are calling themselves JPMC in Clear Score. but at least the label seems intelligible

Chase replied to me and said this:

Thank you for waiting and I appreciate your time sending us this screenshot, Gerald.
The information that you are seeing is genuine and it's related to Bureau Furnishing. Bureau Furnishing is the sharing of bank account information with Credit Reference Agencies ("CRAs"). Specifically, we are referring to sharing Chase UK Current Account information with TransUnion & now Equifax.A Credit Reference Agency (CRA) is an organisation that securely holds data about you – including things like your banking and credit accounts and the financial behavior associated with these accounts.
Moreover, while we are now sharing the information with TransUnion, it will take a few months for the details to flow through and become visible. This is because Chase and Equifax do additional checks to make sure everything's reported correctly before it becomes visible on your credit report.

I had the same today too, Chase bank, don't know why, I can only assume they have started reporting to the credit agencies as they weren't on there before. I do have Chase accounts.

Same and same. Account numbers don't match for me.

Same here too. My account number seems to be the sort code for some reason on Equifax.
