CCTV Data Request Not Fulfilled

I had an accident at the office block I work in, and requested CCTV footage of the incident from the building owner. I requested this via a Subject Access Request made by email to the privacy officer of the company in question, within 7 days of the accident.
I initially received a response saying they would arrange for the footage to be saved to USB and would let me know when it was ready for me to collect. I received a follow up email from the building manager saying she was waiting for the USB stick to arrive and would let me know when it was in, and asked for additional personal info from me.
We're now 9 weeks down the line, and I requested an update on when I would receive the footage. The privacy officer has responded that the only USB copy of the footage has been sent to their insurer, and the system footage has been wiped.
I'm not quite sure what to do now? What would be my next steps to pursue this? Should I request that they obtain a copy from their insurer and send it to me, or do you think this will also conveniently be wiped/lost?
I want the footage to understand why I fell as badly as I did - there were items on the floor and in the corridor, which I suspect they are concerned about in terms of their liability, hence why they've not sent me the footage. But it seems unfair that they can just not provide it to me.

If they've not fulfilled the DSAR then you should complain to the ICO1

I did see that option, but it refers to including my compliant. I wondered if I need to submit an actual compliant to the building owner, or if my SAR is the "compliant"
Edited to say I can now see on the ICO website how to make the compliant, first to the company.£12k in 25 #14 £6,633.88/£18k 24 #14 £15,653.11/£18k 23 #14 £17,195.80/£18k 22 #20 £23,024.86/£23k0 -
You are only entitled to see images of yourself, not of anyone else.
Was it a quiet time of day with no-one else around or were other people present? All other identifiable images of people must be removed or redacted before releasing it to you.
Do you think the insurers might be in the process of doing that?0 -
There was no one else there at the time. An employee came in a few seconds after, but I have an email stating that he has given permission for the footage to be provided to me. That said, I was alone when it happened so that piece of footage should be issued to me regardless, I would think?
The only response I've received is that the only USB copy has been sent to the insurer and the system footage has been deleted. Previous emails stated that a copy would be provided for me to view. We're well past the 30 day response time.
I have sent an email labelled as an SAR complaint, requesting that they provide me a copy of the footage. So I'll see what comes back from that.£12k in 25 #14 £6,633.88/£18k 24 #14 £15,653.11/£18k 23 #14 £17,195.80/£18k 22 #20 £23,024.86/£23k0
