Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers

Morning allWell, England in the final, who'd have thought it. Can we do it?Boring housework this morning, again, but looking forward to this afternoon as we're going to collect my new car. It's like Christmas morning. So glad the rain has kept off too, sun shining and blue sky at the moment. Didn't fancy driving it home down the motorway in the torrential rain we've been having lately. So sorry to hear about Meanmarie's husband, must be so difficult for you both to have had to deal with xHope everyone has a good day x9

Hair washed, coffee made and two eggs boiled - all ready to face the day. So far it looks to be a fine'sh one so fingers crossed. My cleaner arrived on time yesterday, he's not one for chatting thank goodness so I headed out for a wee drive down the peninsula, not for anything in particular. In the afternoon I actually had a sleep in the chair, something I've not done since living in Newcastle!@Marie - what dreadful news for your OH, it's impact on both of your lives is huge so I'm pleased that you have help. 💕@Chrisca - happy new car. It's always a joy.I'll read back later - meanwhile I hope that everyone is doing well or at least well'ish.10

Morning all
Sunny here for now but rain due tomorrow, I was waiting for a call from the hospital last night to collect mum and it got to 8 and still nothing so I called them and they asked me to collect her at 10.30 😳 I am normally in bed between 8 and 9 so it was a bit of a shock, but at least she was fine she had some fluid removed from her tummy 8 litre’s so she feels more comfortable now, I got her home and made her a hot drink and put her electric blanket on so I hope she slept well.
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow it seems to have been a long week and I’ve only worked 3 days.
Dinner tonight is yet to be decided but we have lots in after I went shopping yesterday so we won’t go hungry.
Marie how lovely to see you posting I often think of you, I was so sorry to hear of your DH hope you are getting enough help xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I am not mentioning the weather, it's too depressing. Suffice to say it's fine at the moment.
I had the usual enjoyable trip out with my bus buddy yesterday and, of course, it was Skipton again! We did well in the cs and enjoyed our lunch - service was good yesterday, but that's probably because it was quiet when we first went in!
Today I have the pleasure (not) of a kitchen and bathroom blitz and then I'll get the towels and mats washed and probably draped over the airer again!
I had a very late text off middle DGD last night asking if her and younger one could come today after school and stay for tea. Always lovely to see them and life is less busy for them now rehearsals for the show are over. Younger one has gymnastics at 7.30 so will be away before then. I'll have a rummage in the freezer next and see what I can christen for tea.
Have a good day all if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. MARIE it was lovely to see your post yesterday but so sorry to read about your DH. Life can be so cruel. SILVER I hope you enjoy your walk and talk again and are making new friends. RUBY what a ridiculous time to collect your DM but good to hear she is more comfortable. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Morning all! Looking forward to a day of rest today so I've already earmarked two loads of washing, mow the lawn [ it's 3ft high in places I don't want it to be 3ft high] , get the straggly bits up from the front, take the stuff to various people [ and if it's the Deli, get myself some prosciutto or something nice] and plant out, pot up some stuff. I might take the duvet to the laundrette too, it needs a wash and it won't fit in the machine. Nice easy day....?! I got myself a griddle pan yesterday from lidl so I'm taking some mince out to make kofte for later on...which means I also have to go shopping because the onions are getting down to the last ones. I might just go and get a big bag from the bazaar on the corner.Marie, how awful for him and you, also glad you have help and I second what WeeNancy said. Florence, any news on your husband yet? [I am not up to speed with the deluttering thread - about 20 pages behind now, in case you've said on there] Gers, enjoy whatever you have planned! TA, good to hear normal service resumed and it is a Thursday so isn't that spaghetti bake day? SO, hope you are finding the walk and talk helpful...Izzy, Jaws! hahaha! Ruby, that is a bit late I suppose but discharges can take so long, no one knows what's going on half the time, but glad she's more comfortable now, that's a lot fo fluid to be carrying around..Take care today everyone...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Hi everyone,
Marie, I was sorry to read your news, I hope things improve now.
Ruby, I hope your mum continues to feel better, I noticed last time Steve was in hospital at Addenbrookes that they seemed to have improved their discharge procedures a lot, it seems common sense when hospitals are bust to not have people who are well enough to go home cluttering up the wards.
taff, you put me to shame the amount of stuff you do, take care of yourself.
We enjoyed seeing the Piece Hall yesterday, what a beautiful building for what amounted to a wholesale outlet selling cloth. What astonished us was that it had very strict rules on when the cloth could be sold - 10 till 2 on a Saturday, the rest of the time it was presumable just a warehouse.
We've decided to travel home tonight instead of tomorrow so that we don't waste the day tomorrow, we would probably have stayed if the weather was better but it's not great again today.
Have a good day.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Good to hear from you @meanmarie – sorry to hear about DH, hope you’re getting all the help you need x
In answer to your question @Chrisca50 – doubt it!! Happy new car day x
Glad your DMum is home @RedRuby1231 but agree, that’s a late one!
Good to hear about JackieO and her move to IoW – finally living the dream.
No further news on our house – still waiting for feedback from the agent after the second viewing. Another new viewing booked for Saturday. I am going to Lancashire to visit an ex-work colleague, so the tidying is firmly down to DH, DD and DS2!
We have a hire car as the garage have finally agreed to look at ours and fix/write it off. Given it’s only a bumper needed, I’m hoping they fix it!
Dinner is pulled pork with brioche rolls and coleslaw/salad. I’m having my nails done this evening, bit indulgent but they do look nice.
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy
