Always problems with Northern Ireland buyers.

I’ve been selling on eBay for many years, it’s a bit of fun to me and occasionally some good money can be made…however over the years I have noticed whenever I sell to NI I seem to have problems. Complaints, bad feedback, return requests.

Last week I had a sale come through to NI…got a feeling of anxiety and considered cancelling the sale, but I went ahead and low and behold today I’ve got a negative feedback! It’s a product I’ve sold hundreds the same to all around the country with nothing but good feedback.

I am seriously considering declining further sales to NI, as it is way past coincidence-I wonder if anyone else had experienced similar?

Probably partly due to ebay showing NI buyers the same 2-day delivery estimate as everyone else.

So, by the time the get the item 5 days 'late' they are already in a bad mood about it.

If buyer has gone straight to a negative with no contact appeal to ebay immediately. Use the reason that they are mis using the buyer protection, made no attempt to open a case and give you a chance to rectify. I had2 negs (one on my business and one on my private) last year removed where buyers made no attempt to resolve.

The items we used to send to NI ALWAYS disappeared. Without exception. We soon learned not to sell to NI.

Just for balance, I’ve sold numerous items to NI over the years and never had a problem.

I was thinking the same. It used to be that they were more grateful than mainland customers as I used to send via courier and not add a surcharge.
