Final update - agent emailed last week and agreed to £25 deduction we proposed, deposit returned minus this via the deposit scheme.5

Great result, and well done.
I did the same as you - disputed through the scheme, and offered a few pounds for any additional cleaning, and it was accepted after some back and forth.
