Excel Parking Fine when paid on app

Just looking for some help, we have been sent a fine along with debt collection threats regarding a non payment for parking. The fine is in my husbands name as its his car but I paid on my app that is linked to my parking app.
I did pay for the parking although in error I selected the wrong registration no on the app I sent proof of what I did along with proof that the payment came out of my bank account on the exact date they are chasing and they refused the appeal and now we have debt collection letters asking for us to pay £160 as they say we have no proof of payment.
I have told the debt collection agency that we will not pay the £160 due to paying the parking fee originally and they can take us to court. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

Definitely not a fine, its a parking charge notice, and invoice from a private parking company
Ignore the debt collection threats, debt collectors are powerless
The charge is currently in your husband's name, probably because he must be the registered keeper
So it was a major keying error, but the fee was paid in full
Ignore debt collectors letters, come back to this thread if he receives a formal LoC letter in the post giving 30 days notice
And
Come back to this thread if he receives a postal court claim2 -
Thanks for your reply I will wait to see what we get next from them!
It really is upsetting and terrible of them to see evidence of us actually paying the £3.20 fee but denying we paid it and rejecting our appeal and then wanting £160 off us 😳. There reply was that is MUST have the correct Registration no. awful people!
Fingers crossed they give up but not counting my chickens on that one.1 -
Yeah, we know, so do judges, so read this heart warming judgment

Refer them to their new "joint" Code of Practice, Annex F section 3(a) and/if they respond, then initiate the "go swivel on a sharp stick" protocol.Annex Fhttps://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/NEW%20Redesigned%20Documents/sectorsingleCodeofPracticeVersion1260624.pdf
F3. Appeals where the charge should be reduced to £20 for a period of 14 days
a) where the driver has paid the tariff but made a major keying error when registering their vehicle for example, letters wrong or missing; characters swapped; motorist entered the wrong car registration (e.g. their previous car or another vehicle from their household)
