Morning folks and thanks GERS. Once again I'll start with moaning about the weather! Although yesterday wasn't as bad as they had forecast and we didn't get any of the promised thundery rain, but it was heavy for a while in the morning then the afternoon was dry. Today who knows but I expect rain will feature somewhere! Moan over!
Today is bus trip day, probably Skipton again. As long as a wine 'n dine lunch is involved I'm not bothered where we go. We keep promising ourselves we will go elsewhere "next time" but never do! This evening will be reserved for football watching, with fingers crossed!
Have a good day folks whatever you do and ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies or fed up. Take care all xx

The early sun yesterday only hung around until early afternoon when the rain swept in.However, I got a washing load of towels and knickers out on the line and dried in good time. My nail appointment went well, the young woman is setting off for three weeks backpacking round Vietnam via Gibraltar and Milan so we chatted about that. It made me feel a mixture of happiness for her and sadness that I could no longer do it. That sent me into a rabbit hole of memories which kept me slobbing for most of the afternoon. This morning my cleaner is coming so I'll do a quick tidy up before he comes and then go out whilst he's here. It's raining so I'll not be doing any walking.I hope that everyone is doing well.10

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's raining here, and yesterday was a terrible day, it rained all day. The house was so cold last night we had the heating on for a while. It's on now just for a couple of hours.
Izzy we had shepherds pie last night, we needed something warming! Honestly, our so called summers are ridiculous.
Thank you for all good wishes about my oesophageal test, I don't know why it takes so long to get results. You're still waiting after 7 weeks Gers, it is worrying isn't it.
I'm also waiting for an appt at the Eye hospital, I know I have a large macular hole developing in one eye. I've got a routine eye test tomorrow, I'll ask the optician how to find out what the waiting list is like.
Just as well you had that colonoscopy Snoozer, if it picked up a polyp. These tests are worthwhile, though I know they're not pleasant
Hope you had a nice lunch yesterday TA.
Taff you've got me worn out reading your posts!! You certainly get through a lot in a day.
Ruby that was a terrible thing about Rob, anything could have happened to him, his mother must have been so worried.
No particular plans for today, just the usual stuff. Hope everyone has a good day though, stay dry if you can. Take care folks.

I need to do some housework today but nothing much else is happening you don’t even feel like going for a walk in this weather . Morning all
Its actually sunny here which is not what was forecast but I’m happy to see a bit of sun for a change.
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work we have arranged for him to swap groups so that he is in the cafe both days the other group was not working for him they liked to put on calming music and just sit and listen to it for a few hours which is no good to him as he is completely deaf ! I am under no illusions about how hard it is to look after him, I am exhausted when I drop him home on a Thursday so goodness knows how his mum feels she must be shattered.
I am going shopping on the way home tonight so will pick up something for dinner then I have got to go out to pick mum up from a hospital appointment at some point this evening I just hope it’s not too late.
I read on FB that JackieO has finally moved to her beloved Isle of Wight I hope everything went smoothly for her.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all, I'm not mentioning the weather! Izzy does that mean summer is arriving in August then? Hope so.I got rid of a large bag of mainly winter coats yesterday, doorstep charity collection. They were all in the loft, not really used, and DS informed me the rail with them on was collapsing
I put the bag out at the front, then the bin men came and put one back right in front of the bag so I went out, shook the rain off and luckily the vanman collecting spotted me as he turned the bend otherwise I think he was driving past.
Coffee with BFF was good, we had a drink in Marks cafe, which was busy. Much catching up - then separated to get our own shopping. The food hall was busy,it's too small now really as they get a lot more footfall since the main one in town shut. I spotted my cousin dashing through, shouted hello! , then went into Boots where my DN is working part time during the uni hols so introduced her to my friend - I always think it's nice to put a face to someone you hear about but never met.She then ran me back home before going on to her brothers. She said she'll be back down in August.
We will have the meal deal I got yesterday, then settle down for the England match, DS is going to his friend's bar again I think.Hugs to those who are not well, take care all.

Morning everyone
It poured down most of yesterday and looks like it's going to rain all day here too.
It does look like it's to be a better day in Skegness for DD and little one, who are having a great time.
I'm going to Newcastle today for my last appointment with my denture man, I'll have some lunch afterwards and have a quick look round some shops. I don't really need anything but no doubt I'll buy something.
Little kitten is bouncing around, doing circuits of my kitchen.
Better get on, hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning allJust sitting down for a coffee after cleaning upstairs, downstairs tomorrow. This time of year you hear stories about people waiting for ages to receive their renewed passport. Well I filled the form in online and posted my old one last Friday, they emailed me to say they had received it on Monday and I got an email this morning saying my new one will be delivered to me today! Well pleased with that service.I'm not too confident about tonights match, hope I'm surprised so COME ON ENGLAND!Have a good day all. Oh, and Taff, I'm with the others - slow down, you're making me feel guilty!8

Hi everyone,
Just a quick one before we go to Halifax, we've never been there and fancy having a look at the Piece Hall. Yesterday we did the shopping, replacing supplies and buying new glasses for the house. We had lunch in Skipton TA, at the Bistro which was very good again but they seem to have put their prices up.
Chrisca, we were impressed by the online service.
dp1, I'm glad the holiday is going well.
Have a good day.

Just a quick post from me as Jackie O has texted to say they arrived safely even with atrocious weather yesterday
Their internet should be going on Friday so she will be back soon x
We currently have DBIL and DSIL staying and we are going to DD house to feed the cat as she has been away for work, back tonight.
Hugs to all who want them
