FSCS Limits

My wife and I both have an individual ISA account along with a joint online savings account (3 accounts in total) with a single institution. What is the amount covered by the FSCS? Is it £85k each for the ISAs and a further £170k for the joint account? Or is it, as I suspect, £170k for the total amount in all the accounts added together?

It is £85k per person per financial institution max
It doesn't matter how many accounts you hold, or whether your accounts are are sole or joint.

It's £85,000 for each person. It could be £170,000 between you but that would depend on the split between the shared and personal assets

85k or 170k is great. What about the interest over that.I limited deposits to 80k each bank, at 5% interest I'm protected.0
