How can BG claim the commissioning of a brand new boiler counts as a service? 

I used to have a BG service contract  when I had a back boiler and in the early days the engineer used to go around checking all the radiators, go up in the loft the check the tank, then semi dismantle the boiler etc and by the time I finished with them they literally just vacuumed the dust around the boiler. checked the air flow and that was it. With my new Viessman boiler the engineer who installed it will do the servicing, he's local and good as gold.

BG just seems to be massively cutting corners but still charging top dollar for everything.

From what I've read BG do a annual safety check and don't do a manufactory recommended service ?

Been quoted £100 locally to do service so will book this in 

BG very sharp practice to me to say that 1st year service is completed when service is commissioned and not after 12 months 

Not sure how they get away with it
