My husband missed the bottom step of 2 steps coming out of restaurant, an ambulance was called and he was in hospital for a week and has a broken hip, the steps did not have any mind the step signs or chevron tape as a warning also no hand rail. My house had two steps down at the front door, but no handrail.- no chevron tape either.
A neighbour missed the bottom step and fell onto the gravelled path.

She did not consider suing me but admitted she was looking out across the road rather than where she was stepping.

Any claim would be passed to the restaurant’s insurers so prepare your case well and expect a have to fight your case.
