I'm looking at getting discovery+ for a month or 2 to watch a series.
There is no app for my TV, or my now box or my freesat box.
I could get the app for my tablet, but I want to watch it on my TV. My tablet does not have an hdmi out. So, I was wondering if it was possible to cast to the tv, does anyone know?

You could just buy a firestick and use that.0

Not all tablets support casting and not all apps do either.Easiest solution is a Firestick or Roku box. This can also replace your Now box, which have been discontinued for a while and will probably stop supporting a large wave of apps in due course.0

Let me look into a firestick.
My tablet can cast YouTube.
I only use the now box to watch F1 via a subscription0 -
I looked at a firestick, it doesn't mention discovery+

The list of compatible devices on the discovery+ website doesn't mention firestick but does mention fire tv stick, I've no idea if they are the same or different and if different what the difference is.
I've looked on amazon for some of the roku deviced listed on the discovery+ website but can find an exact match for the model numbers listed.
I also think it's possible to watch discovery+ through the amazon prime app, which my tv has built-in I'll need to do more research on this.
You'd think they'd make this a bit easier.0 -

Rokus are a heap of junk, avoid those.0 -

I'm casting nothing, I merely said Discovery + was on my stick as I went and checked. I don't have a subscription to it so I am unable to verify if it casts, hence the word "may".0
