Plug getting hot

The plug for my tumble dryer is getting warm when the tumble drier is in use.   (I know it is not very MSE to use it but sometimes needs must).  The tumble drier is plugged into a double socket in an out building and the freezer is in the other socket. The freezer plug is fine.

What do I need to check? Think about?  Do?
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

The fuse contacts can become less than optimal, especially in a damper area.  If you give the fuse ends and clamps a light sand, it will likely reduce the temperature.

It's normal for plugs supplying high power appliances to get quite warm.  It's the fuse in the plug that produces most of the heat.
If it gets to the point where the plug is melting, that's not normal!  Beware even touching a melted plug without turning the power off.  It's possible that live terminals have been exposed.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Unplug, and open the plug top to examine the wiring and terminals inside - are all the screws secure, and are all the stranded wire ends neat and 'full' - Ie, not missing too many strands?
Also, as mentioned, how snug is the fuse holder?
Look for signs of heat damage.
