Moveable estate

Options
Hi my late partner of 14yrs passed away in Cyprus, we live there. He had a Cypriot Will which was to be construed in English Law. His Will deals with immovable property but does not mention moveable property. We jointly own a car. Who inherits the car? He has 2 adult children from a previous marriage. I have been granted life tenancy of the house. Do the children have any claim on my household effects?
Thanks in advance

I would suggest that there's little way to know who bought what in a relationship.  And any reasonable child (not always the case of course) will let a partner remain in residence with all the household goods working on the assumption that any family treasures will be coming their way at some future point.

Obviously if the goods are "yours" then it's none of their business.

Have  you talked to them about this?  I wonder if you are asking because they are making a fuss for you at a dreadful period in your life.

Sorry for your loss.  And I hope everything is resolved in a friendly manner.

Assuming his Cypriot will can lawfully be construed in English law, then any assets which aren't covered by the will would normally be treated as passing under the laws of intestacy if nobody is shown as inheriting the residue of the estate - but as you are still living in Cyprus, it's probably most help to you to seek assistance from a Cypriot lawyer who can give definitive answers. The last thing you need when you are grieving is speculation and incorrect answers, and I doubt anyone on this board will have expertise in Cypriot inheritance laws. Google isn't a substitute for actual knowledge.

Jointly owned assets pass to the survivor no one else has a claim on them.

That's not how the law works in Cyprus - hence my suggestion that OP gets proper advice.  https://www.solicitors-cyprus.com/wills-faq/305-if-you-own-property-in-cyprus-in-the-joint-names-of-your-spouse-or-partner-then-the-property-will-pass-automatically-to-the-surviving-spouse-or-partner-on-death clearly shows why such advice would be a good idea.
