UC migration from Income Support - Disabled Child

Hello,
I just wondered if anyone had been in a similar situation and had any advice, my partner and I have a severely disabled child, who needs 24/7 care, which we are both carers to her as it is too much for one person. Our child is also home educated as they were not suitable for mainstream or SEN schooling, so is here with us 24/7. We currently receive joint income support and have had the letter to migrate to UC, how would this work for us?,
I understand there is a carers element on UC which is seperate to Carers allowance, which I currently am getting.
Would we both be put down as full time carers on the UC claim, as neither of us could attend work interviews etc?
Thanks
