Cork board/white board?
crockpot
Hi
This year instead of having a family calender I am thinking of getting a cork/white board, do they do one that is half and half?
So then in stead of sticking stuff to the fridge it can go on the cork board and every 1, 4 of us can have a section on the white board to write down parties, dr`s appoints etc.
Or can anyone help in trying to organize our busy lives?
Cheap and cherfull of course!!
Thanks

Try Staples. I think I've seen one there.0

I have a "family" calender which has columns for each of us, and a cork board and I STILL can't keep track of everything!0

The 2008 family organisers are now half-price in Card Factory; just thinking that something like that would help you organise further in advance; I started using my 2008 calendar at the beginnign of November ...That's Numberwang!0

We have a magnetic white board from staples which is quite large. You can stick things to it with magnets and write on it too. But it cost about £60! But this xmas I bought small magnetic white boards with pens from wilkinsons for my children for £2.99 each. They are quite small but you could buy 4 and put them all together and have one for each family member. The staples ones are really designed for corporate use - not kitchen use!0

What about something like this: http://www.organised-mum.co.uk/Family-Organiser-p-24.html for your fridge?0

Have seen a board which is cork one side and a white board on the other-it was in one of those catalogues which come through the door, so either Kleeneze or Betterware. HTH0

To be really cheapskate, ask a handyman relative or friend to cut you a thin piece of hardboard, then paint it with a tin of blackboard paint - add a pack of childrens' chalks, screw to the wall and voila!
I have one done by a diy-gifted friend that was made from scrap board to fit exactly to the inside of a cupboard door which, since it is right beside the kettle, means few notes or messages get missed. The cost was a couple of pounds but it is so valuable, and it should last for years into the bargain.0 -
The Family Organiser link is taking forever to load, but if you have a Calendar Club stall near you they had the Family Calendar in Bristol, half price, the other day.
I use the Family Organiser calendar from Lakeland, can't find it on their website so they may be out of stock. It is nothing to look at, but it has a pocket at the bottom of each month where I stuff vital bits of paper. When I pin things to a cork board they never get thrown away, but here I do a 'cull' every month!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I wanted one like that and described it to my husband. What did I get a family organiser that tells you the school holidays in............................Australia! Next year I'm buying my own.:rolleyes:It is nothing to look at, but it has a pocket at the bottom of each month where I stuff vital bits of paper.Filiss0
