Upgrade to Santander Edge error message

I've been getting an error message when trying to upgrade my current account. The error message starts with "sorry, there seems to be a problem" and goes on to mention possible problems like internet connection, JavaScript, and cookies.
I've tried multiple devices and browsers and nothing works. Any ideas if how to fix it without calling them (not currently in a position where I'd want to do this)

Which account are you trying to upgrade from, and what is your reason for wanting to upgrade?0

Have you tried opening an Edge account rather than trying to upgrade the existing account?0
