i am trying to open an account with Raisin Bank. I get a message telling me that my National Insurance number is already registered with them ?

I’ve never used Raisin but I know that they perform KYC for at least some of the banks they promote on their site. If you deposit funds with Mizrahi through them, for example, Mizrahi are unlikely to know anything about you. They’ll receive a bulk amount in for all customers depositing that day.
My guess is that you’ve opened a product through them in the past and your details have been retained. The obvious answer is for you to ask them, through a SAR if needed. The alternative is that someone mistyped their NINO. I have no idea what checks are carried out to see whether the name matches.0 -
I suspect you did sign up at some stage. Have you tried “forgot password”?
