Right to acquire portability

I understand government ran a pilot scheme whereby if a tenant lives in a housing association property but is denied right to acquire, then, depending on reason, this right along with any related discount can be transferred onto another property.

Was this just part of a trial and is not now compulsory?

This could have been asked on your previous thread -

Have you checked for the answer to your question on the HA's website?
    I don't wanna shut up, I want a 7up and a 10p mix-up.

you do seem to struggle with being able to fact check for yourself on your threads
Voluntary Right to Buy Midlands pilot: evaluation - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

"the government has previously run two pilot schemes – an initial pilot in 2016, and a second pilot in 2018... There are no pilots currently running while the government reviews the processes of the original pilots."

Clearly therefore it has not been rolled out into legislation.

the key aspect was that replacement of sold homes was a problem as there was not enough money generated to build them Therefore as a policy it did not achieve its objective, and in fact it resulted in a net decrease in social or affordable housing stock, not 1 for 1 replacement. The portability aspect was not particularly important, nor conclusive.

each individual Housing Assoc therefore continues to have (or not have, as you seem to have found in your case ) its own rules on portability.

On my threads, plural? Please explain where fact checks have not been carried out.

Isn’t this a place for advice of the informed?

spoon feeding those who seem able to find out  about esoteric issues but are unable to look up the answers to straight factual questions is tedious

"Can anyone confirm this and provide a link to the source of info?"

    Be helpful or don’t be.

If your incessant Googling, copying and pasting comes with a futile lecture you would be better off doing something sociable for a change, before your sand runs out.

It’s actually ridiculous, offering help then complaining that people could find out themselves!

To add to this tedious drivel, the query in that post was very specific. The link (I had already read prior to posting) does not actually answer the query. So much so, speaking with HMRC direct cannot answer this explicit query.

Solicitors disagree on the point in question, you see there is more to it than copy and pasting. Be informed before commenting.

Save your reply, I really couldn’t care less.
