    I would not take too much notice of reasons viewers give for not wanting to offer on a house.  When agents ring up asking for a viewer's reaction, they can feel put on the spot and pressured into giving a specific comment (carpets and walls in your case).  Most of us just have a gut reaction of whether we are interested in a house or not - there is no value in trying to argue about this.
