New style JSA offered job help

Hoping someone can help.
I applied for new style JSA on June 13th being unemployed, I was given an appointment earlier this week at the job centre of July 17th.
I've been offered another job today (July 5th) to which I accepted and my start date is July 15th.
What do I here? Am I still entitled to any new style JSA from when I submitted the application on June 13th up to July 15th?
Or is it not worth me even attending the appointment at the job centre?
I read it's 90.50 a week and from what I've read I'm entitled to pay starting from when I submitted my application on June 13th.
If I go to the appointment tell them I've found a job now will I be paid any JSA from that period of unemployment?
Thanks

Yes, you should still receive the JSA.
Benefits work on the basis of fact, not predicted fact. In that context, the job might not actually start on 15th July.
You will need to say you continue looking for work and would accept something else in the meantime if it came up with an earlier start date.
Simply, advise the Job Centre on 15th July (or Friday 12th) that you are now in work (starting work) and therefore ending your claim from 12th July (last working day before start work).
The Work Coaches are quite happy with nJSA claimants that get back into work quickly.0 -

I haven't met my work coach yet, my actual new job starts before my appointment at the job centre, does this make a difference? As this will be my first appointment at the job centre to discuss my claim as there was a 4 week wait between applications and actual appointments I was told when they phoned me.0 -

You obviously don't want to go to a Job Centre appointment on the 17th July as you will have started work on the 15th.
Is nJSA the only benefit you are claiming? If so, you will not have the journal so cannot provide updates via that method.
Do you know the name of the Work Coach that you are assigned to (who you would meet on 17th July if you still out of work)?
Write a letter to the Work Coach and hand deliver it on Friday 12th July to say you have a job commencing Monday 15th July and will not, therefore, be attending the meeting on 17th July. The welcome team at the Job Centre may be a bit unwelcoming as you are going off script, but they should let you through to at least someone in the Job Coach team even if not your named Job Coach. Be prepared for a bit of a wait.0 -

Yes, you are eligible for the period of leaving the old employment to starting the new, so long as you have the required NI contribution records and not in PILON period.
Getting a job will end your claim.
It would seem daft to go to the appointment on 17th July given that this is after you started the new employment on 15th July and it won't be great to immediately need time off work. Even worse if you let slip to the new employer why you need time off work straight away - they might jump to all sorts of conclusions.
The comment about "if you don't attend, you won't receive nJSA" is in the context of you need to demonstrate you are actively looking and available for work. Getting a job demonstrates both of those.
I have suggested how I would proceed in this scenario.
Given you do not like that approach, hopefully another will be along with an alternative approach to suggest.0
