I'm trying to setup my router to allow only certain MAC addresses to connect.
I have to type in source and destination MAC - are they the same thing?
And also "Type" - i cant find anywhere what to type in this box, whatever i type it says invalid.
It is an edimax AR7024 router.
Thanks for any help.

Looks like you've ended up on the bridge filtering page, you need wireless management to input the allowed MAC addresses.0

Yes i am on the bridge-filter page. How can i set it up?
I cannot use WPA or even WEP as everytime a password is set the router locks out all connections.
I have the 3 MAC addresses for the devices that can use the Wifi but i still cant get the "type" setting.:rotfl: :j :T :bdaycake: :xmastree: :bdaycake: :T :j :rotfl:0 -

You really need to buy a new wireless router then, they are cheap enough now!
MAC address filtering will not secure your details which will still be broadcast. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
mac filtering is useless it'll take someone all of 30 seconds to get past and as others have said won't protect any of the info you're sending.0

Did you tell the PC's/laptops the same details to connect?
Changing encryption is best done with a wired connection initially.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Yes I set it up perfectly but for some reason I can connect but the router wont allow actual internet access, someone has already recommended i do it wired, so I may try that.:rotfl: :j :T :bdaycake: :xmastree: :bdaycake: :T :j :rotfl:0
