I've had my main account with Monzo for years and they are great. Their app is just how banking should be and puts moat other banks to shame. Stsrling is good too, probably better than Monzo as they pay interest.

I wouldn't touch Revolut, simply because they aren't FSCS protected.

As for Monzo, I don't know what the hype is around them? What do they offer that other banks don't? Again, they were good when they first launched for spending abroad, but now they've again restricted free ATM withdrawals abroad to a low level.
The reason I like them so much is because their app is so good. Along with Starling they blow all other banks apps out of the water.

Go to Starling. I think they're better than both Monzo & Revolut
Agree with this I have all three and use Starling as my main spending account. App very simple to use not overly busy compared to monzo and revolut. I now only have them as a back up for when traveling but never had to use them.

I use Revolut for travelling, load it up before I go. Used across Europe and the US without an issue.
  • Any advantages revolut has over currensea?

As a few others have said, forget these two and go with Starling. Brilliant app, great for spening overseas, can get a Euros account if wanted, and cusomter support are excellent.

I'm looking into this too, it has now been reported a couple of days ago that Revolut has been given a Banking License!
