Good morning all. I'm up with the birds after an early trip to the loo. My pathetic injury is still sore in bed despite the ibuprofen gel. The sky is wishy-washy blue which is welcome after heavy overnight rain. Yesterday the weather was really wild, perhaps we've been transported back to December.
After a wee rummage in the freezer I've pulled out a pack of Ayrshire roll bacon which has lingered long enough. It'll make for some tasty omelette lunches this week. I'll need to go shopping today and take a bag to the tip.
The political news is riveting though not unexpected.
I hope that everyone is doing well.

I haven't had Ayrshire roll for years!
I watched the first few results & then woke up for Rishi's conceding & Jacob Rees-Mogg's seat being the one to cross the line for Labour. Think a nana nap will be taken later!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I used to buy middle bacon, but again, you don't often see it nowadays which is a shame as it made a lovely sandwich with a bit of everything!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thanks for the start Gers
Well I’m a bit bleary eyed after 3 hours sleep - vote counting went ok and I was home just after 330am - was too awake at that stage so chatted online with a friend who’d just got up to watch the results. Great atmosphere at the count though - I have aching hands now.Deliberately not much planned today - going away tomorrow so just a bit of shopping to do and things to organise in the campervan.Happy Friday all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A better start here and yesterday's gusty wind has moved on.
Like others I am a bit bleary eyed after a late night and early morning. I think a nap may be on the cards this afternoon.
It will be a half hearted Friday Tidy methinks with a quick flick of the duster and a trundle round with the vac. The talk of bacon earlier has prompted me to get some out of the freezer for a sandwich at lunchtime. I am easily tempted!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or fed up. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning everyone
It's still windy here, though not as bad as yesterday, and the sun is shining. I've washing to put on the line before I go out - hopefully it will stay there.
We were lucky that it stayed sunny for sports day yesterday afternoon, the children all had a great time. Little one sat with DD who spent the afternoon taking her feeding tube out and putting it back in so she could join in her races without it. She got in a bit of a muddle with her sack in the sack race so one of the teachers picked her up in it and 'flew' her to the finishing line. There were games in the hall afterwards and a tombola and cake stall - it was a lovely afternoon.
She is eating a bit more now so hopefully she'll only have the feeding tube on for a few more days. They go to Butlins for a week on Monday, little one is so excited.
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa and to do his banking, then get the bus down to work.
DD is working tonight, so I'll have little one for a sleepover and then most of tomorrow.
Better get on - I hope everyone has a good day x7 -
Hi everyone,
I had a University vacation job at a pork butcher's in Chorley, it was a huge shop considering it focussed on pork products, they had a huge selection of bacon.
I'm tired today, not only because it was Nate day yesterday but we stayed up till 4 am watching the results. We ended up watching Sky News as the least worst option, previously I've been a BBC gal but I can't stand Laura Kuensberg (Sp).
Nate was lovely yesterday, we played a lot of role play games which was easier for me than the constant activity whirlwind he is.
Today I'm going to take it easy, a little light sewing and a nap are in order I think.
I'm conscious I haven't been mentioning many people lately, it isn't because I'm not interested but by the time I've read the thread I usually forget who has said what, I think I'll have to start keeping notes.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Cold and wet here. I'm off work as I'm meeting Mum in London for a walking tour - of all the days! Should be fun though and we are having lunch at Bell@ Italia first.
DH has taken his friend and their son to the airport as a favour and for some fuel money. We are hopefully seeing the house we like tomorrow for a second look. Depends if we can arrange it for the same time that there are 3 viewings on ours.
Car ridiculousness continues. 4 weeks after the shunt and we are still awaiting a hire car/repair combo. DH had an appointment yesterday, hire car was booked but repair not booked. He then received a call in the afternoon asking for all the details/photos again. Just silly. Hopefully next week. Perpetrator fled the scene after shunting DH, running a red light and t-boning another car. Luckily no injuries.
Sorry about your poorly toe @Gers - so painful
Have a good day all

I've got a great photo of them all perched on a large bean bag being silent.
