Persimmon Homes buying experience

Made a reservation on a Persimmon new build and would like some insights from other buyers. I am part exchaning my property as they gave a good offer, but would like to know do they still throw in any incenstives if exchange is done within 6 weeks? They said there won't be any incentives, but the reservation agreement says incentives if exchanged within 42 days.
For the finishing touches, how much did you roughly spend with Persimmon and did any work yourself? right now I'm looking at the following:
Garden tap and socket
Garden turf and slabs
Bathroom fully tiled

I hate them! We were buying one of their detached properties, saw the show home and placed a deposit, then we were able to go to the actual site and saw the foundations were touching the next property, only about a metre but that meant we lost the side entrance on the plan. went back and were told the plan had been altered!
We pulled out and lost the deposit.1 -
Has their build quality improved in recent years?
There were many complaints when I was considering Persimmon.
Perhaps do some research before you commit.0 -

There's a New Build Homes group on Facebook. Probably a few of them. A lot of the new build companies get a lot of bad reviews and comments, Persimmon are one of them. I was told that they make their own bricks now, and they aren't great quality. If you can, I would strongly recommend looking on those FB groups and seeing what other people say. Generally, I'd say it does seem to come down to whether the site manager is any good, and when you purchase as you don't want the finish to be rushed. We're buying an older property this time round.1
