Pension credit claim pending at death

My father was diagnosed with terminal illness in Feb this year. Benefits were gradually sorted a bit at a time with varying degrees of efficiency as you would expect.
He passed away in May, with a pension credit claim still pending with DWP.
Does anyone know if that claim can still be pursued for the estate or have DWP emerged victorious with their slow response?

Yes it can be, if he was entitled to it, then it can be claimed and form part of his estate. Sorry for you loss, it's a stressful at the best of times dealing with the DWP.

As long as I know it’s worth chasing.Thanks.0
