Hi All

Hoping that you all can share your collective wisdom with me:

I have been quoted the following for a porcelain patio with concrete laid at the back of the garden, and was not expecting the cost to be so high:

Front Patio
This is to be a patio which is to extend out 5.4 metres from the back door area with the step
and will also include the infill at the side, so approximately 65 square metres. Doing the full
preparation, which is excavation to a depth of 200mm, installation of Mot type 1 sub-base
and supplying and laying a Marshalls Arrento porcelain paving using a 900 x 600mm all laid
as per the manufacturers recommendations (I estimate supply at circa £4k). This will be carried out for the sum of: -
£13,860.00 EXC VAT

Rear Concrete Area
To call along to site to carry out the preparation and doing the excavation where required
and shuttering up and finishing off with 150mm of tamp finish concrete. This will be for roughly 45 square metres. All sites to be left
clean and tidy on completion of our works. This will be carried out for the sum of: -
£8,120.00 EXC VAT

I am based in the London suburbs and the provider is a highly rated landscaper.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks in advance!
