Who can i seek advice from?

I am in the process of clearing debt and i had a large debt with a mobile phone contract which is a few years old now but is still outstanding. After a lengthy call with them and it came to light certain errors was made by them. They didnt log a default on the account but instead just kept listing it as missed payments every month and the only way to stop this was to pay the full balance which they agreed wasnt feasible due to the amount and had a financial impact on my credit score for a number of years. There were other errors made and their complaints team came up with the resolution to cancel the debt and remove it from my credit history immediately and would not be chasing me for the debt again. They did this and it showed on my credit file it was pending removal. I have gone on my credit file to see the progress and notice my credit score had dropped about 60 points and said a new debt was pending to go on my file. I had a look and they have logged a missed payment against me for this month.

i have contacted the phone provider who has said that potentially this could continue happening and they may not actually be able to go through with the resolution they offered but are going to try and remove it again from my credit file. I was planning on moving house beginning of next year and feel that this now shows worse on my credit file as its appearing as this year the debt has arisen where it was 4 years ago. Is there someone who would be knowledgeable on where i stand with this affecting me financially and them potentially not being able to follow through on their resolution. 

I have looked into the company that deals with their complaint resolutions but as we havent reached a deadlock on the complaint i cant approach them yet. Just seeing if i can get advice anywhere that will be helpful.

I think you are doing the right thing in following the complaint procedure and then if that fails go to the ombudsman.
