Nationwide Mortgage application - Scotland

Hi all,

Has anyone recently when through a Nationwide mortgage application in Scotland that would able to tell me their timelines of it?  Our application went in on Monday (1/7/24) a hard search was done that day aswell, so just wondering how long we would wait for an outcome.  They have the home report for our new house so I assume they don't need to sort out a valuation?

Not much help on your question but our application went in on Wednesday 03/07 and we got a notification on a hard search today 05/07. Have you heard anything since your post?

Nope, nothing yet.

No.  They asked for a complete June bank statement from my partner and I yesterday as they only had to the 24th as that was when the mortgage broker asked for everything, but nothing else.  I am very nervous about it now but trying to remember that they say it takes roughy 10 business days and we are on 7.......

We are now on working day 5! I checked with the financial advisor today and he said they had requested the home report so hoping that’s for the valuation part! We aren’t getting the updates from nationwide as we went through an advisor! 

We are very nervous too, it’s such a worry and I also worry that the seller will be wondering what’s going on but you are right, it can take up to 2 weeks really so we still have so much time yet! Hope we both hear something soon though!

Hey I'm in Scotland too and my broker submitted my mortgage application today and a hard search was done today also.

Good plan! Be glad when it's all over didnt realise how stressful it is buying a house lol

Just an update, got our mortgage offer through about 20 mins ago! woop woop! 2 Valuation texts came through then the offer all within a minute, so that was 11 working days in all, which they are saying on their timescales just now.  Good luck to everyone!
