My friend has a Daewoo leganza which has the alarm thing so you can open the car from 20 metres. Today we were getting it his car and it would not work he changed the battery from it but still same prob. Do we need to re tune the alarm thing again?. The red light is on the alarm key thing but the car does not open the doors when you click it. I herd it from some one that you put the key in the car and rub the buttons and it should work is that true. Please could some help?

Have you tried putting the key up higher when you press the button?? My boyfs central remote locking thing never works from that far away, unless I put it up by my head and press the button...... I believe some random person on TV talked about it once, and claimed it was to do with brainwaves - I personally think its just the height and the angle!

It should tell you how to re-tune the fob in the Owner's Manual, I think.

the alarm keypad to the head works for me!!
or even try under your chin!

but, besides that, you might have to take your key and alarm keypad to your local daewoo dealer and they can re programme the key pad for you. worked for me one time in my car.

costs around £30 or so, give it a shot...

I got the same car and sometimes you have to 'reset' the key as follows:-

Get into the car by manually opening the door. Start the engine and then immediately turn it off within 5 seconds. Then press the unlock key slowly 3 times while you are still inside the car.

Try it and it works for me every time.

You will need to do this if you have been trying to open or lock the car with the alarm key from a distance.
