TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “O2 Priority + KISS RADIO Competition" (On-Air Competition). 

These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

This is a pre-register competition to take part in the on-air O2 Priority competition.

(A) In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to kissfmuk.com and tell us the following details:

1. Full name and contact details

2. A blurb about what you would do in order to get your hands on a pair of Dua Lipa concert tickets.

Entries will be judged on how entertaining, humorous and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the KISS production team, the production manager and an independent judge.

(B) Registering to participate in KISS Radio’s Breakfast Show promotion does not provide any guarantee that your request will be selected to participate in the on-air competition or that you will win a prize.

Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game:

 

(C) The KISS Radio production team will draw a shortlist of potential contestants from the pre-registered entries received. Entries will be judged by the KISS production team, the production manager and an independent judge. Entries will be judged on how entertaining, humorous and how deserving the entry is.  

(D) Before each competition round, KISS will select a shortlist of entries, using the judging criteria above. On shortlisting, KISS will contact the entrants and we will require those who are shortlisted to coherently explain their entry. The entry must match the entry that was entered online and the judging criteria above. The entrant may then be selected to go to the next phase of the competition, to go live on-air to discuss their entry and participate in the on-air competition game.

 

(E) On being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win once being told they are the winner* by the presenter on air.

 

(F) If you have been selected to play the on-air game, you must be contactable on the phone number you provided, and on the time and date agreed with the KISS Radio production team.

(G) The KISS Radio production team reserve the right to choose another contestant from the shortlist if they are unable to contact you.

Pre-registration will be open from 02/07/2024 at 00.01 BST until the close of the competition online entry period on 11/07/2024 at 10.00am BST.

The competition will air during the KISS Radio Breakfast Show (“the Show”) between 07.00am and 11.00am, Monday to Friday during the competition period stated in section 3.

 

(H) The contestant will join the presenter on air and the on-air game will start.

(I) The presenter will ask the entrant to tell them about the story they submitted online, and then will proceed to the on-air game. The presenter will play a song and pause it, in which the participant will have to complete the paused portion of the song by saying or singing the correct lyrics in order to win the prize.

 

(J) Refer to Section 5 – Prizes, for more information about how the prizes that have been won will be awarded to the winner.

 

(K) The entrant will only be deemed a winner, upon entry being selected and are told by the Presenter and KISS production team that they are a winner.

2.ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS

(A)  Registration is restricted to one per person

(B)   The only way to be included on the shortlist for a chance to win, is to register online at kissfmuk.com or planetradio.co.uk/kiss

(C)  Online entry is free of charge.

3. DATES

Start Date and End Date.

Online Pre-registration: from 02/07/2024 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 11/07/2024 at 10:00am (End Date).

The on-air part of this competition will take place each day from 08/07/2024 until 12/07/2024 between 07.00am and 11.00am. The finalists will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.

 

The winner of the competition will be announced on-air during each competition round.

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

Please note KISS Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for an event such as a public holiday.

 

Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced on on-air after each competition round.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

• Open to UK residents. If under 18 years of age, prize will be sent to a parent or legal guardian aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.
• Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, they or anyone living at the winning address will not be eligible to win this competition. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

5. THE PRIZE

On-air Prizes

 

There will be 1x on-air prize winner per day from 8th – 12th July 2024 from 07.00am – 11.00am each day (5x winners in total), who will each win the prize bundle listed below:

 

1x Prize Package for 2 Adults:

·      1x pair of tickets to see Dua Lipa Live at Wembley Stadium in June 2025 – Supplied by O2 Priority

·      Return train travel from mainland UK to London

·      Private return transfers from mainline London station to the hotel

·      1 night’s 4-star hotel accommodation in London, based on sharing a twin/double room with breakfast

·      Return private transfers to Wembley Stadium from the hotel

·      Dinner and drinks at a London restaurant up to the value of £75 per person including gratuity (max 2 people)

·      Winner Management

 

Additional Prize Terms

Prize Packages for two (2) people are for two (2) adults, all of whom must travel with the same itinerary and be available to travel on the set date provided by the prize promoter at a later date; At least one person travelling must be over the age of 18, where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission; Standard class train travel within mainland UK to London only; Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room in London; Accommodation will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion; A valid credit or debit card for incidentals may be required to guarantee your room on check in and therefore at least one of the travellers must possess and travel with a valid credit or debit card; The prize excludes transfers and travel costs from the winner’s home to the train station, meals and drinks, hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion;

Winners must be available to travel across the specific date provided by the prize promoter at a later date, no other dates will be offered; Once booked, the prize cannot be amended or cancelled; Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable; no cash alternative is available;

Dinner at the specified restaurant is provided to the value of £75 per person, including gratuity;

All cash allowances listed will be sent via bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older; If the winner elects not to, or is unable to, use part of the prize, the winner will forfeit that part of the prize package.

The Prize Provider is Element London Ltd. Any personal data submitted by the winner to the Prize Provider will be treated in accordance with Prize Provider’s privacy policy, which is accessible at: https://element-london.com/element-london-privacy-policy-travel-english/

All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

The Prize is provided by Element (the “Prize Provider”). Bauer Media not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.

 

*Proof of ID and Address will need to be provided to Bauer Media. Once the winners have passed the winners checks, the winners name, phone number, email and address will be sent in a password protected document to Element and they will be sending the prizes out to all winners.

• Once confirmed, any changes including but not limited to name changes, date changes and route changes will be at the prize winner’s expense.

 

Element will aim to get prizes to winners within 28 working days from the date suitable ID and proof of address is provided to Bauer Media. However, there may be a delay due to potential unforeseen circumstances and therefore deliveries may take longer.

Bauer Media is not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory or late delivery.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

 

1.     DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS. 2.     INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.     MISCELLANEOUS.

a)      Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

b)      One entry per person.

c)      If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

d)      The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

e)      We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

f)        You are responsible for all costs of entry.

g)    You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

h)    Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

i)     As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition.

 

We may end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
