Hi. I opened an HL AS account last week and I've just funded it (via debit card) with £10k. Having now looked at the investment options, I'm a little disappointed to see that my £100 cashback will effectively be closer to £90 due to the start date on the fixed term products (8/7). Can I open a fixed term account with £1, and temporarily invest my £9,999 in an instant access account until the 8th and then transfer it over to the fixed term one, or would moving the money between accounts (but not leaving the AS envelope) affect my cashback eligibility? I hope that makes sense! Obviously the alternative is just to lose 6 days interest, but that seems a pity - especially since there's two of us! :-)

Many thanks in advance!

The amount that you fund the account with (and that is 'pending') is the amount that they will transfer but many of them will have a minimum balance. You could fund it with £500 or whatever and leave the rest in an easy access account but you would need to cancel that £500 and open the account again so not much point and if they pull it early you would have £500 in a fix and £9,500 adrift. You can't 'top up'
    It's just how HL work

Conscious the 6 months for this offer will be up for a lot of people now. Anyone so far received their £100. Be interested to see if HL are honouring this (know in the past people have had problems).
My 6 months was up 3 weeks ago and still no sign of the £100 (aware it does say it can take up to 30 days)...

I can't remember timing but I definitely received my cashback (also wife got it too). HL have been very reliable so don't think you should worry but of course contact them if not received within the 30 days.

Hi, so you received your cash back payment shortly after your fixed term ended? I took a 9 month fixed saver so just wondering if I should be chasing them yet as there’s been no sign or mention of the cash back to this point.

    Thanks.
