How do you know if debt has been sold?

Hi, thanks for your input. Just to confirm the tesco debt has defaulted, it's just not been sold on. I'm happy to pay it back as I do owe the debt and I'd like to be debt free as quickly as possible. Based on the post from Stu and other posts I've read, I think it's best to start paying the Tesco one off to start getting the debt down. Doesn't seem as though Tesco are keen on F&Fs but will wait and see what happens. I don't want to avoid paying it as I don't want to start going down the CCJ route. I appreciate this might be a while yet but my understanding is they can do this once its defaulted. My plan has always been to start paying once the debts default.
