Poor window installation?

Options
Hi, my new windows are nearly all fitted but I have concerns.  The bay windows sills have a 2cm difference on the outside as they go round, one of them on the inside has a size difference at the side of it compared to the other (opposite windows), bits they've said they've finished still need sealed, expanding foam has been used sparingly in cracks, trim cut too short...My neighbour has had a look and said I'm not being 'a Karen' (apologies to Karens), but I want more opinions as I'm female and on my own, and just keep being told it's an old house, the walls aren't square, it was well measured and think that they'll keep that up because I have no one to back me up.  I've told them today I am going to get someone independent to have a look and to wait (they were going to come and 'finish' but if the windows aren't fitted properly there is no point in them coming) I'm waiting for the unpleasant phonecall or visit from the fitter.  Any advice? Suggestion? Please!!!

  • Hi, photos (hopefully attached).  The director of the firm has been in touch (phone at first but now doing email trail).  He was supposed to come out today, the fitter was supposed to come out today.  Neither has appeared.  No reply as yet to email sent at 10.30 this morning asking why not.  Found new problems!  At the moment there must be about 20 that need sorted.  They have just arrived, director is apparently on his way.  So many more photos I could show you.  This is a nightmare that keeps on giving...I'm losing sleep over this, I can't get any more money to fix anything myself, already done on a remortgage.
  • So, boss agreed that some stuff still had to be done, but regarding fitting it was all as it should be, brickwork/wood/wall were out.  Boss leaving, underneath windows etc are going to be sealed, all going to be checked and photos sent to boss before they leave, all going to be done today.  So the finishing front door and inside bay window has turned into a bigger job for them.  Having a bet with myself that he told his boss he knew they were still to be done.  And I'm so sick of being called Mrs.  How (to use the words of the boss man) presumptuous.  But that's a different rant.  I hope never to have windows fitted again, and I hope to goodness that I never have problems with these. If anyone does spot anything (apart from I need to get new fascia on front) please let me know.  Thank you all so much.
