It's hard to know.... I am assuming your reference to PIP means the DWP rather than assessment company?.. they may want to clarify information.. but I don't think this kind of scenario is particularly common. I would have at hand copies of any paperwork you've sent in and things like bank account information just in case they want to clarify that... but really it could be anything. When you do call them I would ask for a copy of the assessment report (if you haven't already got one) to be posted to you regardless of what the call is about.

Given the time frame between them I would think it could be a DWP Decision Maker wanting to clarify something to help make the decision.  Unlikely to be the assessment company because the assessor should have written the report soon after the assessment (if not straight away).

It could be a number of things…

The assessment may have been audited and more info required this is likely if the assessor is new (100% audit) or it could have been randomly sent for audit.

Given the timescale I doubt it will have hit a DM as yet, but you never know.

But the only way to find out is call on Monday.

From a personal experience, I had a call from a DM  (was able to answer) just wanted to clarify information. The result was an increase award.
