Hi everyone,
Mehefin, many happy returns to you, the evening sounds wonderful, sorry about DS - has he escaped the toxic troll yet?
Scarlet, have a good break, I mixed you up with Rosy the other day, so many red tinted posters on the daily.
Nanny, good that DD is recovering well, bad that he's too stubborn to use the walker. My dad was the same - he was climbing ladders to repair their flat roof (two storey victorian house) in his 80's.
The fam are enjoying Glastonbury, Esben is in his element, he met Andy and the Odd Socks from Cbeebies and the photos are something to see. He also consented to an afternoon nap so he could stay up for Coldplay (he'd fallen asleep the night before and missed the Bootleg Beatles). Laura said that Coldplay were in the top five performances she has seen at Glastonbury which considering she has been to all but two in over twenty years is saying something, she used to work on the on-site newspaper so had back stage access for a lot of years. After Coldplay Esben told Laura that it was the best thing he had ever seen in his heart!
I spent the afternoon doing sitting down sorting jobs so that I could watch the Tour de France which I find strangely fascinating considering it is just lots of men cycling for hundreds of miles with usually not a lot happening. I shall do my ironing this afternoon when it's on. I only iron in the summer because I don't like crumpled linen.
Have a good day.

Morning everyone
Cloudy here just now but hopefully the sun will come out later. Yesterday afternoon was lovely sunshine and quite warm - I alternated between reading and pottering in the garden.
Mehefin - happy belated birthday
Little one was here for the morning yesterday while DD was at work - we had a good time colouring and playing. She's a lot better than she was but still not eating other than yogurt pouches and soup and still very tired, she slept for 3 hours when she went back home. I'm not sure what's happening with school this week she might just be there in the mornings. DD isn't back at work until Wednesday and I have Wednesday off, so not a problem at the beginning of the week. They're going to Butlins the next week, so hopefully she'll be fine by then.
One of eldest DDs friends came for a short visit yesterday to show me her baby - she was gorgeous as all babies are - I had a cuddle, then she cried so I gave her back.
I'm going down to mam and dads soon to do his weekly email to eldest DD in Germany. I need to walk along to the nearest cashpoint first as mam seems to have had both debit cards declined now and has no cash either.
I hope you all have a good day x
Gers - your play sounds interesting x7 -
Morning all, the small hedge was cut yesterday but it's a bit like a map of the Andes and it took us hours, maybe it's time to pay for some help. We were putting the tools away when Mr Fix It tripped and twisted his foot which inflated like a balloon, unfortunately he is prone to feet injuries as he suffers with weak ankles.
Today it's very overcast here but yesterday started the same then it turned out to be a lovely sunny day so I have taken a chance and stripped the bed in the hope that the washed bedding will dry outside as next weeks forecast looks rainy. We'll make the bed later and the cooker top needs cleaning then that's all that's on the cards for today.
This week I have an extra 2 appointments, one at the surgery on Monday and another at a different hospital on Wednesday for yet another scan, thought I'd finished with them 🤨.
Scarlet have a great holiday and fingers crossed for your appointment results.
RedRuby enjoy Devon, that's my favourite holiday destination.
Mehefin belated birthday for yesterday 🎈🥳
Snoozer we too like watching the Tour de France. Glad the family is enjoying Glasto.
Peony lovely to see you, sorry you're in pain, hope it eases soon. Gentle hugs for you.
TA well done on the sewing, I hate it when it's such a faff. You'll be on the sewing bee next year doing the transformation challenge !
Rosy I love a prawn cocktail, especially when it has thinly sliced brown bread triangles with it.
Sorry if I have missed someone, another one with a head like a colander. Hugs to all.
nan xx

Morning all! Hangover free today but yesterday was na all dayer which really annoyed me because I had things planned but I spent the day mostly on the sofa, eating rubbish because I couldn't be bothered to cook. Note to self, you are no longer a whippersnapper, lay off the binge drinking sessions...Mind you, considering it was the first proper night out in a pub this year, not bad...Today is lots of washing and finishing moving the books and stuff, what do you do with all those little bits that seem to accumulate without a proper home? I'm very close to ordering a skip to get rid of it all. The people at the upcyling place know me now too...We managed a couple of films last night too, they were good fun both of them, and then a couple of episodes of the Boys, all very fun and gory. I watch it somtimes and I know some of it is meant as parody, but it's far too close to reality of media today for comfort......TA, how lovely they want you to do things for them and spend time with you, I never knew my grans like that at all, but you're all obviously doing something right that they know family [ and friends] are the most important thing really. Gers, enjoy your show out! Allie, nice ot hear it went well..Nanny, gosh, can you duct tape the stroller to his hands?on, she's doing so well though. snoozer, good to hear they're all having a great time
Scarlet, have fun away! [except for the appt obviously, but hope that goes well too] Izzy, bless your little terror
Happy belateds mehefin. Sorry about your various bad nights, fingers crossed for sandman slaps tonight! And enjoy the footie if you watch it...
