Bristol & West Liquidation Payments

  • Finally received the liquidation payout.

I had 'many' e-mail exchanges with the MUFG Link Group (or whatever the call themselves) through 2024, who repeatedly claimed that, our claim, that failed due to the bank account name matching process (Executors Account), was nothing to do with them.  Go away, was their response.

I kept Googling for updates, then, all of a sudden a document appeared, instructing 'late claimants' to send their request to the MUFG Link Group.  I smiled, now being asked to submit a 'late claim' to the very people who already had all of the details and had spent several months denying it was anything to do with them.  You couldn't make it up.

Despite all ready having supplied the MUFG  Link Group with additional bank statements, I wasn't going to trust them to ;join up the dots' given several months of a 'deny all' rigmarole.  So I followed the process and sent them all the information a second time, I even used one of the SAE Envelopes with the original share sale documentation.  I also brought it all to their attention with another formal complaint.

This finally did the trick and the money arrived by Mid Dec 2024.

Mine was a much easier process. One phone call, didn't have to provide any evidence of documents just quoted the number on the 10.16 payments I've received, they knew all about me. I confirmed my bank details and a few weeks later it plopped into my bank account. Well pleased.
    Thanks to everyone who helped.

I am still waiting for my Bristol and West share payout. How much should I expect and should I chase it up or just wait?
