PIP award

Options
Hi I have asked this before but never got an answer..

My partner was awarded PIP for 5 years in 2020. He claimed in April and was awarded in December. He should be up for review anytime in the next few months. Unfortunately I have lost the award letter and I'm not sure if his claim ends in April 25 or December 25. I know reviews start around 10 months before award ends. Does anyone know if the end date is from claiming or being awarded? So I have an idea of when I will receive new forms.

They usually send out renewal form around six months before end of award I believe. So you should receive it around October this year.

It used to be 6 months before but due to the backlogs they have been sending them about 8 months before for quite sometime. My award was supposed to end on 26th June and my review started in October 2023.

I think it's date of the claiming for first time.. So award would say something like "I can award you **** from April 2020 for 5 years, from then onwards it would be date of decision.

Agree with the above.. but you could always call up and ask for a copy of the Statement of Entitlement which has that information on it and they should send it out... or indeed ask to confirm end date for award.

I think the award ends in  late November or early December 2025....I have asked on Reddit and they claim the 5 years (or whatever award you receive) starts from when you are successfully awarded not the claim date, the letters others have posted online confirm that. So I don't think we will be getting a renewal letter this year.

EDIT..I've found the letter it ends on the 21st November 2025.

Mine is neither - claimed in April 2020, awarded in November 2020 after an MR, but ends September 2024 (so far, but likely to be extended by a year like most others' are).

It varies, it's usually around the same month as awarded give or take 2-8 weeks, unless someone is awarded for 18 months instead of yearly periods.
