Best travel money

Hello,

I'm off to Netherlands end of Next month. Ideally I'd like a card what is the best options?
I have a credit card with Tesco, current account with nationwide and Santander.

    Halifax clarity, revolut, Monzo , currensea etc

    Not of direct relevance to the OP but I've just been informed that Lloyds Bank won't be adding fees for overseas spending.  They will be increasing the monthly charge for the card but that is easily wiped out if you generally use a standard bank card.

    Be sure you can get SMS messages while abroad, in case your card issuer needs to verify a transaction. I had that happen with Halifax Clarity. Fortunately my provider didn't charge for receiving SMS abroad, so it was only Halifax that wasted their own money on it.

    Some of them still let you tell them where you will be, but even when you do that there is a decent chance they will panic and need to send a code.
