Smart Parking / Debt Recovery Plus

I received a PCN from Smart Parking
Contravention 11.4.24
Date pcn issued 22.4.24
Date I actually received PCN 25.6.24

I have today, just 2 days later. now had a letter from debt recovery plus demanding payment of £170, this also references a prior letter I never received apparently dated 28.5.24.
Any option to pay the reduced fine or appeal now apparently gone.

Having read the newbie thread I am still confused as to the best action to take, hoping someone can help.

I am the registered keeper of the vehicle, have not spoken/replied to either firm and therefore not disclosed any driver details.  The car park where the offence took place is a car park for a business that shut down a long time ago so no means to contact the land owners although it appears the car park is still managed by smart parking.

From what I have read is the best thing to do to just ignore the letters and wait and see if DRP pass it back to smart parking to take any further action?  If there is a better way can someone please confirm the action I should take.

Thanks

As far as the contravention date and the PCN issue date, it was deemed given to the keeper within 14 days, irrespective of the actual date it was received. It is too late to appeal but you can safely ignore all debt collector letters as advised in the Newbies/FAQ thread.

All you can do for now is wait and see if/when (not so) Smart Parking order one of the roboclaim solicitors to send the keeper a Letter of Claim. If when you do receive one of those, please re-read the second post of the Newbie's/FAQ thread on what you need to do next.

    Ignore.

    it's not a fine.

Nothing will happen and the NTK isn't POFA worded anyway.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
