How do I get a refund from bookings.com?

Hey Forumites, so I booked a property in Cardiff 23rd June 2023 for the 25th - 27th  June 2024. I tried to contact the property a couple of days before our visit to see if we could arrive slightly earlier as we were going to a gig. I had no reply from text, email and phone went to answer phone. Alarm bells started ringing. Anyway we travelled from Plymouth to Cardiff arrived at the property only to find a tenant living in there and he had been since May 2024. The tenant gave the management agencies number and I contacted them they gave me a number - straight to answer phone. 
So I'm £530 down for that property and £280 another one we had to book. I can't get hold of anyone to request a refund.
I have a confirmation email from the agency regarding the tenant. But what to do I do now!!!

I won't be the only person who has gone to bookings.com to check whether you've been scammed, to find out that it redirects to booking.com (which is the actual name of the site).

You should be claiming via the people you booked from - booking.com, not the management company. Have you tried to contact them? Have you followed their claims process on the site? How did you pay for the property?

Booking.Com customer services can be contacted online through the Property Booking itself. Though ideally this should have been done at the time.
