So
I don't really care for this being "smart" other than to tell me "your batteries are running low", or "you're out of fragrance"
There is this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Glade-Automatic-Spray-Freshener-Relaxing/dp/B07L9N5N9S
Which is battery powered but the replacement sprays are more expensive than essential oils are. It still isn't "smart" too
I want it to be battery powered purely because then it's portable and you can put it wherever ie: in a hallway
Does anyone have any recommendations?

This doesn't answer your question, but these fragrance diffusers are just releasing (arguably unnecessary) chemicals into the air, which you, your family and any visitors are then breathing in.
The MSE way would be not to have these things.1 -
I have one from Amazon that you put water and essential oils in (we're allergic to artificial fragrances). Whilst it does plug in with USB you can use a long cable or even a portable battery pack.
I know it's not perfect but does mean you can use essential oils rather than the chemicals:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20171 -
