Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers
Thank you for all your kind comments yesterday.
Looks like it's going to be another hot day.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.9 -
If I didn't know better I'd think it was mid-winter here. In the evening yesterday the winds began to rise and torrential rain fell which went on all night. Right now the wind is still noisy and the sky is dark. 😰 Horrible!
No plans for today, I wait to be inspired. I hope that everyone has a good and sunny day.9 -
Good morning Gers, thanks for starting. Good morning to everyone else as well.
It's bright and windy here, like yesterday. It's good to get the washing dry without it being draped round the house.
We are going away on Monday instead of Saturday, more convenient in some ways. I now have a hospital appt on Friday next week, and we'll go from the caravan then back there. The caravan site is in N Yorks and the hospital is in S Durham so should work out ok.
It's dh birthday next Fri as well so I 've ordered a set of single malt whisky miniatures which will arrive tomorrow - he likes a dram and he'll enjoy these. I'll smuggle them into the van among my clothes. We don't normally do much for birthday presents but over the last 10 years I've had a lot of hospital appts in various hospitals and he has accompanied me to them all without complaint, so it's a little thank you!
Going out today shopping for groceries for our holiday. I find it easier to van shop separately, and we'll go to a shopping centre nearby where there's M&S, Sains, and all the usual shops.
Hope everyone is all right and has a good day today, take care folks.

Hi everyone
Back from a few days in mid-Wales. One day each of forest, coast and castle was a perfect break, topped off with an unplanned meeting with an ex colleague who I haven’t seen for 5 years. A little pic of Montgomery castle in the sunshine.Today is more postal vote opening, then a vet visit re B-dog’s limpy leg, then some sorting out of things for a craft fair tomorrow.Have a good Friday

Hi everyone,
We've still got the sun but it looks windy out there. It was a lovely day yesterday, not too hot. Steve and Chris did two rounds (there are two courses at the club) and enjoyed it. Steve woke up screaming with cramp in the night so I ended up getting him a rehydration drink and magnesium oil and he was ok the rest of the night.
We had a few pics from Glastonbury but they're probably hoarding their phone batteries. Laura bought airtags to put in the children's clothes in case they get lost, hopefully they won't be needed.
Enjoy your break Rosy.
I hope little one's medication is working dp1
Have a good day.10 -
Morning all
Dull and overcast here but the sun is due out later, I actually woke cold in the early hours as I had put the summer duvet on Hope I don’t regret doing that 😂
Off to the hairdressers later 😳 not looking forward to it but needs must ! DD is off today so she will walk the dogs later after her nail appointment.
Breaded chicken and chips for dinner tonight and some coleslaw. I will put a wash on before I leave this morning and that can be hung out..
Gers your weather sounds dreadful a day for staying in I think, shame it’s not cold enough to light the log burner xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
@Ruby - you'll be fab after your hair cut! I gasped at you not having had a haircut since before lockdown, I was gagging for a cut as soon as the first one ended and find it difficult to go more than six weeks between appointments.Yes, it's not cold, no heat but some warmth. The wind is still strong, I fear for my poor rose bush at the front door, it gets the brunt of the wind and rain.8
