I hope this is the right board, if not, feel free to redirect me.

My property has only electricity and no gas, I would like to know what the 3 readings are on the electric meter. As the third reading has been increasing even though there is no night storage heaters as they have been replaced with electric heaters.   I cannot seem to find any information on it and the supplier does not seem to (want to) know.   or who to approach?

It is a 'seeboard electricity meter model xxxxx1'
I did find this post from 2018:

Likely to be day, night and total?  If one isn’t incrementing (night) then do the other two increase by the same amount?

I had added up the first and second reading and their total exceeds the third reading.  And the third reading keeps increasing

    Photos/examples would help.

Can you see which reading is being used for your billing? Do you suspect your billing is wrong?

If the day and night and total  readings have gone round the clock and started again the two readings don t add up to the total .If you are not using night storage than you may only use 1 or 2 kwh s in the cheap 7 hr night rate . This cheap 7 hours can be at various parts of the 24 hrs and not as advertised , eg 12.30 am to 7.30 am is a usual time slot .Occupiers should find out when the night rate starts and ends . Also see how many kwh s a day in total you are using .The total reading will always be increasing if any electricity is being used .

What is your tariff name on bills and how - if all 3 are - are the 3 readings presented / labelled.  And are the p/kWh unit rates different.

(When I had RTS metering I had 4 sets of readings on bills - one always zero - and only 3 readings from the 2 meters - charged at three different rates)

And as above re wrapping, have you checked just the changes to the readings over a few days

Although many multirate meters (the most common being e7 about 3.5 of 4m profile class 2 in 2021 according to Ofgem report) only have day and night rate - there are some older more bespoke electric home meters and tariffs that support 3 rates - some single meter, some dual, some rts.

These can have 3 real rates and 3 distinct registers / readings - like normal circuit day / night use and a seperate dedicated heating circuit.

There's even at least one iirc special that supports primary (e.g. nsh on restricted time) and secondary (24/7 iirc) heating circuits (fires, cookers etc iirc) - different readings, different rates - as well as normal circuit (sockets, lights etc).

You may find standard customer service staff struggle with more complex arrangements - so some companies still have specialist teams dealing with them.

So as above if you have past bills look their for clues.

How do you supply readings ?

Some of their meters used to display 1,2 , total but yours isn't- so maybe older.

Try taking the 3 readings again in a week and look at changes to tge registers - do the changes add up to match.  It's 23 years old it's possible that one or more readings have wrapped.

We could do with the model number and any trailing letter.

It should be labelled meter type - just below and to right of led and ampy name.  E.g. 5235d-n  was a not uncommon e7 meter.

And a full picture of meter tails - looks like 5 - is one a lot thinner and any other boxes e.g. an external timer switch to control meter rate on a thinner cable to meter - present.

PS The number you are quoting - the D.... - is your meter serial number - and many here would recommend you should edit those pictures and previous posts to remove it.
