Another day, another BG CS email.

As I have become pointed in my response regarding the breach of the DD Agreement, this latest email from BG, sort of, alludes to the issue:

We ensure that our customers are informed prior to any collection of payment. I kindly ask that you review your email in order to locate the notification we have sent to you.

If I haven’t heard from you by 18.07.2024, I’ll take it that you’re happy with the information we’ve provided and close your complaint.

Why they are asking me to check I don't know - they should have this information on their systems.  However, I've double checked my email folder where I file BG correspondence and checked Spam and Trash.  Nothing.  I have asked BG to locate the email on their system plus the trx. details detailing that the email had been sent to my email. I would be more than happy to concede if they can provide me with date.time stamped copy of the missing email plus evidence it was sent - this information should all be available on their systems.

I thought I would come back and update on this.

I have accepted the compensation offered by British Gas.  They cannot find any correspondence, sent to me, informing me of the new statement prior to debiting my account.

I have received a comprehensive email from British Gas detailing a number of internal issues but whatever went on the end result was a breach of the DD agreement.
