Witness Statement help!!

Just a bit of background, I was in a petrol station longer then the permitted time of 30mins while washing my car(I had to queue for 15mins). I did not see any signage on entering this site. This fine went all the way back to 2019! I only became aware of this fine after opening a small claims letter against me. I have bank statements for proof. only thing was I didn't do a very good defence and now it is at the stage just before the hearing were i need to submit my witness statement. Are there any templates for Witness statements and do I have any chance of winning or should I settle?

There are NO Witness statement templates
There are bespoke exemplars written by other affected members, which are highly regarded, so check those 5 listed in the second post in the newbies sticky thread1 -

Show us the Defence you put in.
Why not read some other threads at WS stage? I've just answered two or three at the same stage as you, tonight alone. Examples are here daily, all over the forum including the 5 in the NEWBIES thread 2nd post alongside the a-f list of evidence to include with a WS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
