I have a few Brand New Beautiful Prom Dresses (cost around £170 each) that I would like to go to young ladies who might not otherwise have/afford one?
I don't want to give them to a charity as that will not ensure they go to those I would like to have them.
Can anyone suggest how I might do this?

How about your local foodbank? They can share all sorts, not just food.

  • I heard a woman and her daughter on R4, You and Yours a few months ago.  They lend donated dresses each year and it sounds like what you want to donate your dresses to.

Sorry I can’t find the programme and can’t remember the specific organisation, but a google search of ‘prom dress recycling uk‘ brought up some sites such as these.

    Hopefully this helps

I've read the same about a lady in Liverpool collecting and donating dresses to those that can't afford them. Maybe lots of googling and/or asking on local Facebook pages might find one near you .
