Another RBS round up question.

Hello,
I recently  used the RBS  app to pay into my account a utility cheque for a small amount, which was owned to me. But this morning, l noticed that the amount was transferred into  my digital RS account via the round up feature.
Will all incoming transactions  to my RBS account go straight to my digital  RS account now?

  • That doesn't sound right to me, are you sure you didn't accidentally deposit the cheque directly into your digital saver?

Round ups shouldn't be triggered by cheque deposits. What was the amount transferred to the DRS? Is there a debit card purchase that could have triggered it?

No the sort code and account  number is for the select account.
TBH  l only use the RBS  account  for the digital RS  so lm not to bothered just thought it was weird.
    Thank you for replying.

£7.08 cheque amount. There are no similar transactions to that amount in fact haven't used the round up  feature since Monday  morning.
Deposited  the cheque  Monday  night 11pm ish.

I thought it was weird, but l only use RBS  for the digital RS, so I'm not too bothered.
The only issue is if it doesn't count as a round up and it looks like it as  it will muck up my max standing order amount for this month now?
  • Just taken.
  • The 'round up from xxxx' should have the last 4 digits of your current account, and that looks like a direct deposit to the saver from a cheque paid in via the app to me

The digits are from my select(current) account just check. It must be a glitch with the app then.
The only reason l used the RBS app was the utility  are using Natwest as their bank so l thought make it easier  to go through.
I'll just keep a eye on it now.
    Thank you for replying.
  • Just and a text off RBS giving me a slap on the wrist going over my monthly  maximum  allowance.
They have returned the money to the select account.
